Background

Robi Axiata Limited (Robi) and ICT Division’s Aspire to Innovate (a2i) programme (collectively referred to as (“Campaign Authority”) have teamed up to create a platform named “Idea for goodness”, for the youth to share their innovative ideas for dealing with the ongoing Corona pandemic situation in the country. The ideas can be based on medical solution, technological innovation or social mobilization- anything that will benefit the people of the country in this Corona pandemic situation. Along with Robi and a2i, Bangladesh Scouts, Bangladesh Brand Forum and iLab will be partnering in this initiative.

Eligibility

Any Bangladeshi national using any mobile operator’s service can participate in the campaign. Participants have to be within 18 to 35 years age bracket. No employees of the Campaign Authority, as well as their immediate family members may take part in this campaign. Proof of age, identity, and eligibility must be furnished to Robi upon request. All entry form information must be complete and accurate. Campaign Authority retains the sole right of not awarding a prize to anyone not meeting eligibility requirements at the time of entry. Campaign Authority reserves the right to disqualify any participant if these terms are not followed. Campaign Authority will not be responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, incomprehensible, illegible, damaged, undeliverable or delayed. Any attempt by a participant to tamper with the proper administration of the campaign will disqualify the participant.

Submission timelines

Each round will be 12 days long from the date of announcement, with 3 rounds in total. These dates may be subject to external conditions and change.

  • Round 1 will begin on 17 April 12:01 Am and end on 29 April 11:59 PM. Any submission after that will not be considered
  • Round 2 will begin on 30 April 12:01 Am and end on 10 May 11:59 PM. Any submission after that will not be considered
  • Round 3 will begin on 11 May 12:01 Am and end on 23 May 11:59 PM. Any submission after that will not be considered,

Submission Criteria

  • The video must be available in their respective Facebook / YouTube/ Twitter platform
  • The hashtags: #Ideaforgoodness #Rob #a2i. must be in the caption of the video
  • The video must be made “public” for all audience and authorities to view.
  • The participant then has to submit the link, along with name and contact number via robi chatbot under the “Idea for goodness” tab. Video without link will not be considered submission
  • Youth using any mobile operator’s service can participate in the campaign. Participants have to be within 18 to 35 years age bracket
  • The idea has to have direct/ indirect impact to catering to the COVID-19 challenge in communal/ social/ national scale
  • Irrelevant and/ or offensive contents will be automatically disqualified at the discretion of authority without any prior notice

Representations

Each entry submitted to the Program, in its entirety, must be an original work of the applicant. By entering, the applicant represents, acknowledges and warrants that he or she has full power and authority to enter and that the submitted idea does not infringe any copyright or violate any other intellectual property rights. The applicant agrees to indemnify Campaign Authority from any and all third party claims arising from submission of the idea.

Publicity requirements

By submitting your ideas, you represent that you agree to take part and co-operate in relation to all publicity requirements of the campaign. Applicants hereby grants to Campaign Authority the right to publicize the participant’s name, photograph, video, audio, image, likeness, voice, statements, and biographical information for advertising, trade, and promotion purposes without compensation and without opportunity for review, in any medium, including but not limited to broadcasting on national/cable television, print and electronic media, social media, websites, video sharing platforms, etc. The Applicant who are selected, also agree to take part in post – competition publicity, as required by Campaign Authority.

Participation and withdrawal

Once applicants submit their ideas, applicants can not share the idea with any other institution/organization until the campaign is concluded. Campaign Authority reserve the right to exclude any applicant at any stage of the campaign due such non-compliance. If any applicant wants to withdraw his/her participation in any stage of the program, the applicant will be required to formally apply for withdrawal from the program to Campaign Authority.

Limitation of Liability


Applicant agrees to release and discharge, hold harmless and indemnify Campaign Authority, their employees, agents and representatives, officers and directors and their immediate families, successors and assigns, from and against any and all claims, actions, proceedings, and liability for any damages, expenses, fees, injury or losses sustained in connection with the Applicant’s participation under the Program, and/or while traveling to, preparing for, or participating in any Program related or funding related activity.

Program decisions

All decisions of Campaign Authority are final and binding. In the event the selected applicant(s) of any prize are/is ineligible or refuse(s) the prize or in the event the prize is forfeited for any other reason, the prize will be forfeited and Campaign Authority, in its sole discretion, may select an alternate winner from remaining entries. The laws of Bangladesh shall govern this campaign. Campaign Authority retains the discretion to make all decisions regarding the interpretation and application of these rules.

Acceptance of Rules, Terms and Conditions

By entering, applicants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions and rules detailed in this document and Campaign Authority reserves the right to exclude any entry from the program at any time and in its absolute discretion if Campaign Authority has reason to believe that an applicant has breached any terms and conditions, acted fraudulently in any way or brings Robi into disrepute.

Reserved Rights

Campaign Authority reserves the right to cancel the program or alter any of the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and/or if circumstances arise outside of its control. If any applicant is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, Campaign Authority reserves the right to exclude such applicant from the program and offer funding/benefits either to a runner up, or to re-offer the funding/benefits in any future program.
