CILT nominates Shuttle’s CEO for International Young Achiever Award

Dhaka, 6 February 2019: Co-founder & CEO of Shuttle, Reyasat Chowdhury has recently been nominated for the International Young Achiever Award by the Bangladesh branch of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).

Shuttle is an independent business venture that came out of Robi’s digital entrepreneurship development programme for its employees, r-ventures.

Reyasat’s nomination recognizes the outstanding contribution he has made to the country’s transport industry. He along with his team has come up with a safe and comfortable mobile app based transportation solution, Shuttle, for the women of Bangladesh. The unique service has already garnered tremendous traction among the women in the capital city, Dhaka.

Offering pick and drop transportation service to only women, Shuttle, runs on specific routes with specific pick-up and drop-off points on a fixed schedule. Currently, around 1000 women are availing this service everyday.

Every year CILT International Young Achiever award is given to a young person who has made significant contribution in logistics &/or transport sector. This year, the award will be given during CILT’s international convention to be held in Manchester, UK on 16-18 June.

CILT is the largest Chartered organization for supply chain, logistics and transport professionals in the world having 33,000 members in 33 countries around the world.
