Q. What are the types of tickets available?

A. Currently, you will be able to buy bus tickets, launch tickets, airline and event tickets.

Q. What are the advantages of purchasing a bus or launch ticket from bdtickets.com.bd?

A. Through bdtickets.com.bd, you will be able to:

  • Choose your preferable destination & departure points online
  • Get your tickets directly in your mobile SMS & E-mail box (e-mail address)
  • Book your bus/launch/movie tickets online in your city

Q. Does booking online cost me more?

A. The price of the tickets is exactly what you would get from the bus/launch/event counters. However, we do charge a nominal convenience fee to cover the cost of our service offerings.

Q. How will the counter man/guide boy validate the bus/launch tickets?

A. The passenger requires showing the e-Ticket (SMS/E-mail/Print Copy) to the bus/launch counter. The counterman will ask you to give a call in his number. Then he will verify the mobile number of yours with the number that has been provided during the purchase of ticket. This verification process is called MSISDN.

Q. What is a PNR?

A. PNR means Passenger number. It is available in your SMS or E-mail ticket. ( you can also take a printout of your E-mail or PDF copy of your ticket)

Q. What are the questions will be asked by the bus counter guy?

A. No questions asked. Passenger's mobile number verification (checking the mobile number) is the only thing that is required.

Q. Can I transfer my ticket to my friend?

A. No, you cannot transfer your ticket to your friend or anyone else. A unique ticket is always issued with the real passenger's mobile number.

Q. What is the option to transfer a ticket?

A. Transferring tickets is not possible from bdtickets.com.bd website. If anyone wants to buy a ticket for others need to use actual passenger's mobile number. However, if transfer is requested, it has to be requested from the designated mobile number by calling the customer care number 16460

Ticketing

Q. Should I take a print-out of the ticket that I have bought?

A. bdtickets gives e-tickets in a form of SMS and E-mail and SMS ticket is sufficient to get on-board your chosen bus or launch services. However, necessity of printed copy of tickets depends on bus or launch service operators. From bdtickets.com you can take the printout of your ticket any time you desire.

Q. I've lost my ticket. What should I do now?

A. A copy of the ticket would have been sent to you by e-mail when you purchased it. Please take a printout of that E-mail and show it at the time of boarding. If you have not received the ticket via e-mail, you can regenerate your ticket online. Help line: the customer care center 16460

Q. What if customer lost SMS?

A. The customer can request for a re-issue of PNR by calling the customer care center 16460. If the customer had entered the E-mail address, then the PNR will be sent to the E-mail as well.

Booking

Q. What if the operator does not support mTickets?

A. For operators, who do not support mTickets, printing out the e-ticket (which is sent to your E-mail address) is a must. At the time of boarding, just show the printed ticket and you will be allowed to travel.

Q. I didn't receive my mTicket/eTicket. Can you re-send it?

A. First, do check your E-mail for the ticket that has been sent in your E-mail address (please check your spam folder as well). You can generate your mTicket online. Click on the 'Print Ticket' link on bdtickets.com homepage. Enter your ticket number and PIN number mentioned in the e-ticket and choose the options as you desire. Options are:

1.View Ticket
2.Get mTicket on SMS
3.Get eTicket by E-mail.
4.Download as PDF

After selecting the option, click on Submit.

Q. I do not have the copy of the e-ticket either, what should I do?

A. In case you do not even have a copy of the e-ticket, contact the customer care center 16460 and our executive will assist you.

Q. I entered the wrong mobile number while booking. Can I get my mTicket on a different number?

A. Sure you can change the number. For changing the number, please call customer care center 16460 and our executive will send you the SMS on your desired number.

Q. Does the owner of the credit card with which the ticket is purchased need to be one of the passengers?

A. For payment system it is not necessary for you to have a card. You can pay the money from any cards. However, the passenger needs sufficient prove of the ticket (SMS/E-mail/ Print Out)

Q. How can I confirm whether my tickets have been purchased?

A. Once the payment is confirmed. You will receive a SMS confirmation on your mobile and will get an e-ticket on E-mail address.

Q. How many tickets can I purchase in one transaction?

A. You can purchase maximum 4 tickets in a single transaction.

Q. I accidentally purchased my tickets for today instead of tomorrow, can you change the tickets?

A. For changing the tickets, new tickets to be booked and if the user wishes the old one needs to be cancelled. (Convenience fees of total ticket amount at the time of cancellation and new booking)

Payment

Q. Can I make payment for some other person?

A. You can make payment and purchase tickets for anyone. Please use the passenger's mobile number for purchasing the ticket.

Q. What payment options do I have?

A. You can make payment using

Q. How does the transaction appear on my card / account statement?

A. Transactions on bdtickets.com will appear as Portwallet in your bank statement.

Q. Is it safe to use my credit card on this site?

A. Transactions on bdtickets.com are very safe. We redirect you to the bank site for payment through debit/credit cards. Hence, there is no chance of security breach.

Cancellation

Q. How can I cancel my bus/launch/air/event tickets online?

A. You need to click on the cancellation link provided on our home page. Enter your ticket number and the PIN number that was provided at the time of booking and click on cancel ticket.

Q. Is there any charge for cancellation?

A. We will refund you the complete ticket amount but will keep the convenience fee charged while you purchased the ticket on the portal.

Refund Related

Q. I missed the bus/launch. Do I get a refund?

A. bdtickets.com.bd provides a 100 percent refund if the bus is missed due to any fault at us or at the partner company's end. However, if the bus is missed due to any other reason not directly related to bdtickets.com., no refund is provided.

Q. How can I get a refund in case I cancel my ticket?

A. The refund is provided as per the cancellation policy. It takes 24-48 hours in getting the refund from the time of cancellation.

Q. If the travel operator delays or cancels the trip? How will the refund apply?

A. The whole amount of the ticket will be refunded except for the convenience fee charged while you purchased the ticket on the portal.
