BREB customers can now pay postpaid electricity bills through RobiCash

Dhaka, 18 September 2019: Robi Axiata Limited and Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) have recently signed an agreement that allows BREB customers to pay their postpaid electricity bill through Robi’s mobile money platform, RobiCash.

Robi’s Executive Vice President, Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui, and BREB’s Secretary, Md. Asafuddowla, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at BREB’s Head Office

BREB customers who avail postpaid electricity metering system, can now pay their bills through RobiCash from either their own RobiCash wallet or from the nearest RobiCash retail point. Using either RobiCash App or USSD connectivity, BREB customers can avail this opportunity.

Initially, BREB this facility will be made available to customers in six regional locations. Gradually, it will be rolled out to the remaining regions. Going forward, both the organizations will explore other digital means to improve customer service for BREB customers.

BREB’s Director, ICT, Engr. Hedayetul Islam, Director, Finance, Hossain Patwary and Robi’s General Manager, Mohammed Faruk Hossain, Manager, Muhammad Raquibul Basher and Manager, Mosleh Uddin were present on the occasion.
