BTS Infrastructure

Robi has been providing mobile telecom services in Bangladesh since 1997 and now enjoys the position of telecommunications one of the top Telco Operators in the country. Robi has already established more than 7400 base stations in more than 5300 sites all over the country to maintain its premium quality network and meet the ever-growing subscribers’ demand. The company is also continuously upgrading its base stations from 900 MHz to 1800 MHz, thus ensuring seamless mobile telecommunication services and customer satisfaction. The regulatory authority of Bangladesh discourages indiscriminate proliferation of base stations all over the country and has already circulated a guideline for infrastructure sharing among the service providers.

In respect to the regulator’s guideline, Robi has undertaken a comprehensive study to explore various avenues of sharing its infrastructures.
