What you require for SMS Roaming?
  • An Robi IDD post paid connection.
  • An International Credit Card with at least 6 months validity in customer’s name
  • No security deposit.
  • Properly filled up and signed SMS Roaming Registration Form, available at all Robi Customer Care Centers.
  • Two copies of colored passport size photographs.
  • Photocopy of ownership document.
  • Photocopy of the first seven pages of customer’s passport.
  • Enlarged photocopy of both sides of the International Credit Card.
  • After completing the registration from the Robi customer care centers a subscribers can activate the SMS Roaming:
  (*All voice call will be barren while the SMS roaming in turned on.)

Robi SMS Roaming
 
You can remain connected worldwide through SMS Roaming Services. You can send and receive SMS while roaming abroad while your voice calls and data services will be barred.
 
Remember to set your SMS Centre number in the international format. For example:
+8801801000004 or 008801801000004
 
De-activate the SMS Roaming:
 
Now that you return to Bangladesh you just have to de- activate the service so that you can receive all voice calls.
 
Follow the simple steps below and terminate the service:

Charges:
 
While roaming abroad no charges are applied on receiving SMS.
 
Charge is applicable only while sending SMS. The charge is computed in the following basis:
 
Foreign operator’s charge + Service charge + VAT
 
Standard SMS charge is applicable for activating and de-activating the service.
 
Credit Limit:
 
Please be notified that the total of your SMS Roaming bill cannot exceed a limit of BDT 1000. In the case of exceeding the limit a subscriber has to contact Robi office for increasing the credit limit.
 
Note:
 
You can activate or de-activate the SMS Roaming service while in Bangladesh only.
 
When the service is activated then all voice calls are blocked and you need to de-activate the service to turn on all voice calls again.
 
Standard SMS charge is applicable for both activating and de-activating the service.
