Mobile operator Robi Axiata Limited will facilitate Border Guard Bangladesh to share its infrastructure for enhancing radio access network. An agreement to this effect was signed by Robi and BGB in Dhaka recently.
Managing Director & CEO of Robi, Michael Kuehner and Director, Communications, Border Guards Bangladesh Colonel Md Nazrul Islam Sarker, afwc, psc signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
“This is for the first time BGB has signed infrashare agreement with any mobile operator of the country. This will help us to avoid unnecessary site construction hassles and costs”, said BGB Communications Director. He stated that the infrastructure sharing deal will also help BGB avoid power loss and electricity related problems.
In his observation Robi CEO Michael Kuehner mentioned that Robi was happy to be a partner of an important public agency in order to facilitate its communication network. He said, “This also compliments our support for green concept of lesser infrastructure constructions”.
Among others, Executive Vice President of CRL Mahmudur Rahman & Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui along with other Robi official were present at the signing ceremony.
